Volleyball Journey Controls Not Working: Wrong or Missing Inputs
Quick answer
- Wrong action: Check the contact family and whether you were on the ground or in the air.
- Old guide: The captured PC defaults set with E and dive or block with Q.
- No action: Separate an input that never appears from a touch attempted after the ball has passed.
Identify what failed before changing the layout
When Volleyball Journey controls seem wrong, first name the symptom. Did a different action appear, did nothing appear, or did the expected contact happen too late? Those cases need different corrections. Rebinding everything at once can hide the original problem and leave the next attempt harder to compare.
A different contact usually needs a context check
Left Click belongs to bumping on the ground and spiking in the air. E sets on the ground and jump sets in the air. Q dives on the ground and blocks in the air. If you wanted a dive but jumped before pressing Q, the airborne block is a different intention from the low-ball rescue you meant.
Use the controls reference to compare the complete pairs. Make a simple attempt with one family and a clear ground/air choice. If the intended action appears in that simpler situation, keep the mapping and work on coordinating the contact rather than treating the whole keyboard or controller as faulty.
An old key can be working exactly as mapped
Older instructions may put setting on Q and diving on Ctrl. The captured official PC description instead uses E for setting and Q for the dive/block pair. A key producing the wrong job can therefore reflect an outdated habit, not a broken device.
Snapshot as ofCustom bindings add another possibility: your own saved mapping may differ from the default. Compare the specific action with the active layout before replacing a familiar arrangement. On a controller, keep B/Circle separate from L2/LT; the console guide shows those pairs.
A late touch is a positioning question
If the action appears but the ball has already passed, give yourself an earlier position and a simpler contact. Do not change a functioning key merely because an ambitious approach missed. Keep the ball visible and attempt the receive you intended before adding a jump or an attacking follow-up.
If the action never appears even in a simple attempt, check the active input method and the saved binding for that action. Use the PC guide or mobile guide for the setup in your hands. Describe the exact missing action and device when asking the developer community for help; that is more useful than a report that every contact is broken.
