Volleyball Journey Tier Lists: Builds and Trait Effects

Volleyball Journey tier lists need a clear question. Our build comparison ranks four real responsibilities by how approachable their first useful task is for a beginner in public play. The trait comparison instead considers Speed, Spike and Dive effects against a chosen role, keeping those two decisions separate.

Compare roles by your next learning goalPick the problem you want to solve in your next session.

Compare roles by your next learning goal

The S/A/B/C build order is an editorial learning priority, not an official maximum-power ranking. A reception defender gets a clear first contact to practise; a setter must also read which attacker can use the next ball. Trait effects serve that responsibility rather than replacing it. Read the stated criteria before following a rank, and choose the comparison that matches the decision you are making. A different learning goal can justify a different role choice. Someone who enjoys reading available attackers may prefer setting despite its later position in a beginner order, while a reception-first player can start with the clearest single-touch task.
